- Ohm's Law
(with an LED (or ideally, several different colors of LEDs) to show: (a) that it's a one-way device for current, (b) that it emits light once it begins to conduct current.

- Ohm's Law
(I want to be able to touch the gate of the transistor with one finger and either the + or - of the power source with the other finger, and thus turn the current on and off. That'll show them just how sensitive the MOSFET is to a tiny amount of charge.

- Several masonary nails (high carbon steel), a vice, a really hot blow-torch, pliers, and a beaker of cold water. I want to harden a nail by heating it yellow hot and quenching, then trying to bend it. I then want to anneal a nail by heating it yellow hot and letting it air cool slowly, then bending it without breaking it.
- A magnet and a cheap 18-8 stainless steel knife (the magnet should not stick). If you have no knife that a magnet won't stick to, then a spoon or a fork will do.
- LN2 - Thermal Effects on Solids and Gases

- Some cups and sticks to pass the cornstarch/water around in
- A paper packet of 2-part 5-minute epoxy and a card to mix them on
- Superglue and two metal objects to glue together
- An ordinary (polypropylene) rope and a spectra rope (pink) hanging from the catwalk.
- Prince Rupert's Drops

- jumping toys, with a suction cup and spring. You could press the toy down until the suction cup stuck and then, when air had leaked into the cup enough, the toy would jump
- Geiger counter
