Due to Physics Building renovations, the lead time to set up demo requests has increased due to the need to transport equipment across campus. Please be kind and let me know well ahead of time what you need.

Additive Color Mixing

Purpose:

To demonstrate that the mixing of primary colors results in white light, plus other mixing phenomena, color perception, etc.

Procedure:

Dim or shut off the lights in the room and adjust each lamp in the specialized box, or projector with variac, for equal color intensity. The middle section of the three overlapping colors is white while the other sections produce various color mixes.
