Polarization by Reflection

Purpose:

To demonstrate that a reflected glare is polarized and can be blocked by a polarizer.

Procedure:

Set up a table incandescent bulb lamp pointing on the surface of the bench. Position a smaller CCD camera pointing at the reflected glare. Demonstrate that putting a polarizer between the bench and incident light beam or between a glare and the camera can block the reflected glare light.
