- Okay, this time I really well teach about woodstoves, so I'll need:
Convection in water demo
A test tube to fill with water and heat from the top while holding in my fingers
The light source, reflectors, and match demo (radiation igniting the match)
The hot cube and the bolometer to see its thermal radiation.
A demo to show that ice starts colder than 32F / 0C
heats up
melts at 32F / 0C and
then heats up when its all water.
For #5, I'm thinking to freeze some water with a thermocouple/thermistor in it with LN2, then heat that ice in a beaker on a hotplate. I'm also thinking that having some ice, some water, a thermistor/thermocouple, and a magnetic stirrer would be helpful. This has always been a tough demo to pull off well, ...
Thanks,
Lou
