Spark Gap Tesla Coil
Purpose:To show the high potential output and operation of the high frequency resonant circuit air gap transformer made famous by Nikola Tesla.
Procedure:With Tesla coil placed on a rolling cart, operate device well away from delicate electronics. Plug Tesla coil into a switched power strip. Use an extension cord between Tesla coil plug and the power strip. Turn ON/OFF as desired. One can light a fluorescent tube from a few feet away.
