video - Newton's Cradle Collisions
Purpose:To illustrate elastic and inelastic collisions with a collection of pendula.
Allow one ball of the Newton's Cradle "Executive Toy" to strike the remaining five and note that only one comes off the other end. When two balls strike, two come off the opposite end. Explain why one cannot come off with twice the velocity.
