Calculate height needed for steel ball to complete loop. Demonstrate actual case, taking the friction and rotational inertia of the ball into account.

Heights measuring from bottom of loop:

  • 52cm = top arrow
  • 49cm = middle arrow
  • 45cm = bottom arrow
  • 38cm = top of loop

Hints:

Equipment:

  • Loop - the - loop apparatus
  • Steel Ball
