Purpose:

To show that the direction of the induced current depends on whether the magnetic flux through the coil is increasing or decreasing

Procedure:

SETUP: The RED and GREEN LED's are connected to the coil in parallel with their directions reversed. The red diode lights up when a current is present in one direction while the green diode lights up for a current in the opposite direction. Inserting and removing the magnet from the coil will light up one diode then the other.
