Purpose:

To verify a specific force-tension diagram.

Set up the pulleys, string, and weights as pictured and verify the calculated angles with a large wooden protractor or simple triangle geometry.

From left to right in the above photos:

  • 45 degree weight is 897g
  • Center weight is 1000g
  • 30 degree weight is 732g
