Spark Detector for Alpha Particles

Purpose:

Detect alpha particles with a multiwire spark detector.

Procedure:

Wire PASCO SF-9586 High Voltage Supply to Lascells LA10-761 Spark Detector, and hold Am-241 alpha source near wire grid. The arrow points to the source in lower right of first image.
