Daedalon Geiger Counter

Purpose:

A Daedalon Geiger counter is used to measure the activity of various alpha, beta and gamma sources.

Procedure:

The Daedalon Geiger counter is connected to the room's audio system and counter rate on the device display is projected on the screen with the help of a camera. A set of sources is available to demonstrate count rates of different isotopes. A number of Al, Pb and paper sheets can be used to demonstrate their effect on the count rates.
