Laser InterferencePurpose:To demonstrate the interference of the laser beam lightProcedure:Point the green laser beam onto the double layered microscope slide and reflect it onto the screen. Dark interference lines formed by the light reflected off of front and back surfaces of the double slide can be seen quite clearly. This takes a little practice to get an image that the whole class can view.Hints:One may use a divergent lens in front of the reflected light to expand the pattern on the screen for better view. Also demonstrate that the original beam spot does not have the same structure.Equipment:
