video - Temperature Effects on the Resistance of Copper WirePurpose:To show that the resistance of copper wire drops when lowered to the temperature of liquid nitrogen.Procedure:![]() Connect the circuit to the battery and observe the brightness of the lamp with coil warm at room temperature. Then immerse the copper coil into the liquid nitrogen and note the change in brightness. An ammeter can be used to show the corresponding rise in the current. Hints:After showing the increase in lamp brightness (and current), remove copper coil from liquid nitrogen to allow coil & stick to warm up for next lecture, since it takes some time to for it to warm up. Disconnect battery!Equipment:
