video - Air Driven Organ Pipe

Purpose:

To show organ pipe resonance when driven by an air stream.

Procedure:

The organ pipe assembly has two parts, one fixed and one adjustable in length. One may show the different tones available by driving the organ pipe mechanism with the air supply at the table and varying the length of the adjustable organ pipe.
