PLEASE REQUEST DEMOS WELL IN ADVANCE

Due to Physics Building renovations, the lead time to set up demo requests has increased due to the need to transport equipment across campus. Please be kind and let me know well ahead of time what you need.

The ripple tank (a water filled tank illuminated by the overhead projector light) can be used to demonstrate various wave phenomena. The driver has different heads available to generate spherical as well as the plane waves. Double or single slits of various spacing can be easily set up. The amplitude and the phase shift of the individual driver heads can be adjusted.
